SEBASTIAN, Florida- Lisa Bridge, a teacher at Sebastian River High School teacher, received a $500 check as one winner of Applebee’s Above and “BEE”yond Teacher Contest.
The contest awarded ten deserving teachers from 10 school districts throughout Florida and Georgia with a sponsorship check to use towards classroom supplies for the upcoming 2018-2019 school year and an end-of-year class party for the teacher’s current class, courtesy of Vero Beach Applebee’s.
Teachers were nominated by their students, who submitted essays to the Applebee’s restaurant in Vero Beach explaining how their teachers go above and “BEE”yond for their students.
School districts eligible for the contest must be within the following Florida counties: Broward, Charlotte, Clay, Collier, Duval, Indian River, Lee, Miami-Dade, Okeechobee, Palm Beach, St. John’s, St. Lucie and Sarasota.
