The Top 10 Students list is normally released in July, but due to COVID -19, it got pushed back.
A class ranking is a way to compare high school student’s grades to their classmates. Each student receives a numerical ranking based on their grade point average.
Some colleges use this ranking as one of their criteria to determine an applicant’s academic abilities.
Students who wish to attend more competitive colleges should aim to be in the top 25% of their class or the 75th or higher percentile.
Those hoping to attend Ivy League and other top tier schools should aim to be in the top 5% to 10%.
