Sebastian River High School Varsity cheer team competed over the weekend in the UCA Central Florida Regional competition at the Tampa Convention Center.
These talented high school athletes came in 1st place, winning their game day division, which won them a bid to the 2021 National High School Cheerleading Championship February 5-7, 2021, at ESPN’s Wide World of Sports Complex.
NHSCC is the most prestigious cheerleading championship in the country, and it is nationally televised on ESPN and ESPN2 to over 100 million homes and 32 countries nationwide each year.
The SRHS Cheerleading Team is led by Coach Celeste Howder. The Captains are Ryleigh Flood, Christian Diaz, and Lilith Alvaro. The rest of the team includes Kylie Dixon, Tinley Billings, Nicolina Burrell, Janely Santiago, Amber Powell, Karlie Patzlaff, Kylie Knudsen, Nadia Wilsnack, Madison Slapikas, Wendy Santiago, Emma Ford, Melanie Keaton, Hayden McGuire, Kailani Llanot, Mariah Golphin, Madison Carlson, and Savannah Hinkle.
