Sebastian River High School has announced Aqila Ingraham as its new Assistant Principal. She has over 20 years of experience in instructional leadership, curriculum development, and strategic educational engagement.
The Miami native holds a BA degree in Elementary Education with an English to non-native speakers (ESOL) Endorsement from Florida Atlantic University and a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership, with 18 hours of Master’s in Reading degree from Nova Southeastern University. Her Florida Department of Education (FDOE) certifications in Elementary Education (K-6) and Educational Leadership (All Levels) further demonstrate her commitment to a well-rounded education.
Ingraham has previously worked for Broward County Public Schools, St. Lucie County Public Schools, and the School District of Indian River County, teaching various middle and elementary school grades.
She has served as a District Trainer and holds professional designations as a Master Teacher. Ingraham has developed skills as a subject area expert in English Language Arts/Reading. She most recently served as the English Language Arts (ELA) Assistant Principal at Gifford Middle School. In this capacity, she guided the ELA Teachers and Students to significant academic achievement and success.
