Sebastian River High School is pleased to announce Rudy Pean as their new head boys’ basketball coach. He will bring a wealth of experience and dedication to the Shark Nation.
Coach Pean’s coaching journey is a testament to his passion and dedication. It all began in a church league, where he led a team of boys aged 14-17 to victory in the league championship. This humble start paved the way for a remarkable ten-year career, marked by his unwavering commitment and pride in nurturing winning players and teams.
At the heart of his coaching philosophy lies a focus on fundamentals and skill development for young athletes. Coach Pean’s coaching experience includes roles such as Assistant Boys Varsity Coach at St. Edwards, JV Boys Coach, Varsity Assistant at Cocoa High School, and AAU Coach and Director at Push Pray Believe.
Pean played basketball for Lesley University and received his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management. Then, he expanded his knowledge and obtained a Master’s in Management from Southern New Hampshire University. He champions education and emphasizes the significance of being a student first in all his players.
Eagerly anticipating his new role as Varsity Coach at Sebastian River High School, Coach Pean is set to continue his positive influence on young athletes on and off the court, fostering growth and success in the players he mentors.
Rudy Pean is also a devoted husband to his wife, Cory. They take pride in their two wonderful children, daughter Amirah and son Princeton.
Sebastian River Coed Summer Youth Basketball Camp
Coach Pean will host a Coed Summer Youth Basketball Camp at Sebastian River High School from June 28th to 30th from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Under his expert guidance, he will provide young athletes with an opportunity to enhance their skills and passion for the game.
