The Florida Department of Transportation requests assistance in asking the public to refrain from dumping Hurricane Milton debris on State Road rights-of-way.
Property owners who live on a State Road may continue to put their debris at the edge of their property.
As a reminder, below is the IRC information regarding Hurricane Milton Debris:
Indian River County Landfill: The IRC Landfill resumed normal operations at 7 am on Friday, October 11th. Tipping fees for all customers bringing in Construction and Demolition (C&D) Debris and Yard Waste Debris are being waived through the end of the day on Friday, October 18, 2024.
Customer Convenience Centers: The Roseland, Winter Beach, and Gifford Customer Convenience Centers (CCCs) resumed normal operations at 7 a.m. on Friday, October 11th.
The Fellsmere and Oslo CCCs will resume operations as of 7 am on Saturday, October 12th.
Garbage, Recycling, and Yard Waste Collection in Unincorporated IRC: As of Friday, October 11th.
WM has resumed garbage and yard waste collection services; however, the services will be delayed by two days this week and by one day through the end of next week for residential, commercial, and roll-off customers. Unincorporated IRC Disaster Debris: All residents of Unincorporated IRC on public roads and those in private subdivisions are encouraged to follow the attached Debris Collection guideline. Please take the time to place materials on the road right-a-way. Our Disaster Debris Collection Contractor will start picking up debris on Monday, October 21, 2024.

Municipal Disaster Debris: Please contact your local town or city officials for their Disaster Debris Management plans within the municipal jurisdiction.
