Golf Cart Collides with Train in Micco: No Injuries Reported

A golf cart collided with a train on Thursday night on Micco Road near Barefoot Bay.

Tod Goodyear, a spokesman for the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office, told Sebastian Daily that there were no injuries. The Florida Highway Patrol is now handling the investigation.

“We responded; however, the Florida Highway Patrol conducted the accident investigation,” Goodyear said.

A witness said the driver jumped off the golf cart before the collision, and the railroad crossing guard rails were down.

Both a freight train and a Brightline train were seen stopped near the crash site, along with responding ambulances and deputies.
