A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in front of Earl’s Hideaway Lounge on Friday evening. The Sebastian Police Department referred the case to the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office for investigation.
According to investigators, the pedestrian appeared intoxicated, while there were no signs of impairment on the driver. The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital where their condition remains critical.
“The pedestrian is still alive but not doing well,” Sheriff Eric Flowers told Sebastian Daily.
The Sheriff’s Office is investigating the accident and is asking for any witnesses to come forward. Anyone with information about the crash is urged to contact Deputy Gast at 772-569-6700.

In 2017, a hit-and-run driver struck a female pedestrian in front of Earl’s. The pedestrian sustained injuries, including abrasions and cuts to her right thigh, ankle, and other areas. Despite an extensive search, the vehicle involved in the incident was never found.
