We hope everyone had a great Labor Day Weekend in Sebastian. There were indeed many boaters out on the sandbar, cruising the lagoon and the Intracoastal Waterway.
There are no storm threats from the tropics at this time.
The rain chance increases this week from Tuesday through Friday, but some weather conditions may keep most of the moisture north and west of Sebastian.
The forecast calls for a 50 percent chance of rain during the next few days. Most of the thunderstorms will be in the afternoons. The highs reaching 90 degrees, overnight lows near 75.
The heat index for Wednesday will be near 102, so please stay hydrated if you plan to go out in the sun this week.
Winds will be light, at around 5 to 10 mph. Winds will be out of the east until Thursday, when there will be a change out of the west.
So far, the weekend is shaping up with less rain and highs near 89. We’ll have another forecast out later this week.
