Mother Nature seemingly decided to spare us from rain over the weekend. However, odd reports came in from Micco and Grant on Friday. One thunderstorm remained stationary over the area for around 90 minutes, accompanied by intense winds and rain showers.
Yet, there’s a forecast of rain returning this week, with thunderstorms mainly during the afternoon. The likelihood of rain is set between 60-70% daily. We’re also anticipating mid-80s temperatures this week.
Here’s a glimpse of the expected daily temperatures (Highs/Lows):
- Monday – 89/75
- Tuesday – 86/74
- Wednesday – 86/73
- Thursday – 85/72
- Friday – 85/70
- Saturday – 85/71
- Sunday – 88/72
Winds for the week will come from the northeast at 5 to 10 mph. Come Saturday, a shift will occur with winds blowing from the northwest at 10 to 15 mph. By Sunday, we expect southwestern winds.
For boaters, expect seas at 2 to 3 feet with a gentle chop in the Intracoastal waterways. However, seas are anticipated to surge by Thursday to 3 to 6 feet.
In other news, Hurricane Nigel is charting its course northeastward in the Atlantic but poses no threat to Florida.
