Hazardous Weather Outlook
There could be some afternoon thunderstorms on Friday, but as drier air spreads across Sebastian, it should reduce it to showers. As a result, the National Weather Service (NWS) predicts scattered showers.
“Isolated showers are forecast to develop along the Treasure and Space Coasts from mid to late morning, with scattered showers and storms shifting to the interior as the Atlantic sea breeze develops and pushes inland during the afternoon through sunset,” NWS said in a statement.
Friday’s storms will move slowly west and northwest at 5 to 10 mph, with the most intense storms producing wind gusts to around 40 mph. The winds are out of the east in Sebastian, so it will help move the storms into our area.
