SEBASTIAN – It’s so cold, even the pelicans are wearing jackets. Sorry snowbirds, anything below 80 degrees in Sebastian is considered cold.
Residents in Sebastian, Vero Beach, and surrounding areas woke up to temperatures in the low 50’s Friday morning. The cold weather has finally arrived in Florida.
How long will it stay cold?
Friday will be the coldest it gets with a high near 70 degrees. Tonight will have a low near 53 degrees, so bundle up.
The warmer temperatures return Saturday with a high near 80 degrees, but the overnight lows will be a cool 60 degrees.
Sunday will be warmer with a high near 83 degrees, overnight low near 60. Monday is pretty much the same into Tuesday.
What we’re seeing are warmer days near 80 degrees, but the overnight lows are down near 60. It won’t be cold much during the day, but the temperature drops at night.
Many people have told us they turned off their air conditioner. These are the perfect temperatures for saving some money on the electric bill.
