In Sebastian, the National Weather Service (NWS) said Hurricane Conditions Possible, with wind speeds between 74 and 95 mph, when Milton passes through north of our area. The NWS forecast is currently showing wind speeds of 25 to 35 mph for our local area, but that can change.
The wind speeds in Sebastian will also be determined by the intensity of Hurricane Milton when it makes landfall in the Tampa area. Additionally, Milton’s trajectory is subject to fluctuations. Earlier today, the storm’s projected path shifted southward near Melbourne. The NHC emphasizes that the path will continue to change.
