The National Hurricane Center is reporting Tuesday that an area of low pressure is expected to develop near Florida.
The system is not expected to threaten Florida or the Bahamas as it moves northeast this weekend.
“Environmental conditions appear conducive for this system to acquire some subtropical characteristics as it moves northeastward through Sunday,” the agency said.
Forecasters say the system could bring winds and rain to our coast as it moves northeast.
Sebastian Daily will keep an eye on the system through the weekend as it passes Florida on it’s projected course.
