A tropical wave is still producing disorganized showers and thunderstorms in the Atlantic Ocean, and environmental conditions are forecast to become less favorable by this weekend.
The National Hurricane Center (NHC) said gradual development is still possible during the next few days, but nothing more than a tropical wave.
Next week will be interesting as it moves closer to the Bahamas, and it might bring some much-needed rain to Sebastian, Florida.
“This system is expected to move westward to west-northwestward at 15 to 20 mph across the tropical Atlantic during the next several days,” the NHC said in a statement.
There’s only a 30 percent chance of formation during the next five days. But some forecasters say it could still develop into a tropical depression as it moves closer to the Bahamas by early next week.
In Sebastian, the climate is dry from a lack of rain, and some concerns include the spread of wildfires. However, a system like a tropical wave or depression will bring rain as it moves closer to Florida.
