There’s a potential for afternoon thunderstorms this week, which is expected this time of year in Sebastian, Florida. In addition, warmer temperatures are in the forecast.

There’s a 20 percent chance of afternoon thunderstorms all week. However, Wednesday will be mostly sunny with no chance of rain.
Looking at the weekend outlook thus far, we could see an increase in thunderstorms again for Sebastian. However, it’s still too early to predict the weekend.
As for the tropics, there’s a small low pressure area expected to develop by the middle part of this week over the southwestern Caribbean Sea.
“Some slow development of this system is possible thereafter while it drifts generally northwestward off the coasts of Nicaragua and Honduras,” the National Hurricane Center said.
There’s only a 30 percent chance of formation. So there’s no threat of a tropical storm or hurricane right now for Sebastian, but we will continue to monitor it.
