The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a wind advisory for Sebastian and the surrounding areas.
The advisory was issued at 10:00 a.m. this morning and is effective until 7:00 p.m. this evening. Southwest winds are at 15 to 25 mph, with gusts up to 35 mph expected.
“Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects, including holiday decorations. Tree limbs could be blown down, and a few power outages may result,” NWS said in a statement.
Please use extra caution when driving, primarily if operating a high-profile vehicle. In addition, secure outdoor objects, including holiday decorations.
We can expect thunderstorms after 1:00 p.m. from a low-pressure system moving in from the west. The chance of precipitation is 80 percent.
Today’s highs will be near 80, with an overnight low of 55 degrees.
We will have cooler temperatures on Wednesday and Thursday, with a high of 68 degrees and an overnight low near 48.
