A cold front is making its way into Sebastian today, sending temperatures into the upper 30s tonight in Sebastian, Florida. In addition, there’s a Wind Chill advisory for Friday night. Tonight’s low is expected to be 39 degrees.
The advisory is in effect from 12 a.m. tonight until 10 a.m. Saturday morning.
“Very cold wind chills expected. Wind chills in the lower 30s for several hours tonight into early Saturday morning,” the National Weather Service said in a statement.
Winds will be 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph tonight.
The agency also warns that the cold wind chills could result in hypothermia if precautions are not taken.
A Wind Chill Advisory means that cold air and the wind will combine to create low wind chills. Make sure you dress appropriately for the cold weather, including a coat, a hat, and gloves.
Saturday’s high will be only 57 degrees, and the low be in 36. Sunday’s high is expected to be 62 degrees, with a low of 45.
Things will start warming up on Monday (Martin Luther King Day), with a high near 70 degrees overnight low near 50.
